Van Tien Nguyen, PhD

 Research Associate

I'm a mathematician working in the field of partial differential equations (PDEs). I'm interested in PDEs arising from physics, geometry, and mathematical biology.

My research is about the qualitative description of solutions with a focus on singularity formation and long-time asymptotic behaviors. The equations I have been working on include

    - semilinear parabolic equations/systems;

    - geometric evolution equations like the harmonic map heat flow, wave maps;

    - nonlinear Aggregation-Diffusion equations like the Keller-Segel equation;

I also enjoy programming and doing numerical simulations of PDEs. [CV]
